92-year Old Man Smells Jail Over Crime Committed 57 years ago
Ryland Hadley, a 92-year-old man is set go on trial next year, 2025, following an allegation of rape and murder of an elderly woman, Louisa Dunne, 57 years ago.
Police charged Mr Headley, of Clarence Road, Ipswich, United Kingdom on Wednesday, following a further forensic examination of some items.
Mr Headley, who was remanded into custody, is accused of the rape and murder of Ms Dunne on dates between June 26 and 29 1967.
Louisa Dunne, 75, was found strangled on her living room floor by a neighbour on Brittania Road in Easton, Bristol, on 28 June 1967.
His trial is said to take place before a High Court Judge on 16 June, 2025, and is expected to last up to three weeks.
Report says application for bail is yet to be made.
