Kwara Govt Mandates KWSRRA Registration For Pensioners, Employees To Ensure Hitch Free Payment
The statement emphasizes that this initiative is vital to maintain the prompt and uninterrupted payment of monthly pensions and salaries.

Kwara State Ministry of Finance has re-emphazied the crucial importance of the ongoing registration exercise with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWSRRA) for all pensioners and employees at the State and Local Government levels.
This is contained in a statement released on Friday by Press Secretary of the Ministry, Abdulrasheed Babatunde.
The statement emphasizes that this initiative is vital to maintain the prompt and uninterrupted payment of monthly pensions and salaries.
It notes that Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Hauwa Nuru, emphasized that recent data indicates that only about 56% of Local Government pensioners have completed their KWSRRA registration and received their payments.
“In contrast, all duly registered State pensioners have been paid up to April 2025. This disparity underscores the necessity for all pensioners to complete their registration promptly to avoid disruptions in their payment schedules”
“The KWSRRA registration is not merely a bureaucratic process; it is a fundamental requirement to verify and validate the identities of our pensioners and employees. This exercise ensures the integrity of our payroll system, facilitates accurate planning, and upholds our commitment to transparency and accountability”
The statement encourages Pensioners and employees to complete their registration at the KWSRRA office in Ilorin or at the headquarters of their respective Local Government Areas, where KWSRRA desks have been established to assist with the process.
