Beneficiaries of the food relief program

Adun Idile and Child Care Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to cushioning effect of the present hardship in the country by distributing food items to the vulnerables in the rural and urban areas in its little way.

The founder of the foundation who is also a seasoned broadcaster, Hajia Aishat Onagun stated this during the recent food relief program held at Irewolede area of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

Hajia Onagun expressed that she recognized the difficulties people are facing at this moment, hence, the need for the food drive program.

According to her, “The pangs of hunger are a harsh reality for many families, who are struggling to make ends meet, as food prices soar, the most vulnerable members of our community are being forced to go without. The lack of access to nutritious food is a crisis that demands immediate attention and action.”

Hajia Onagun promised to intensify more effort at providing more food items to the vulnerables in the society in order to have sense of belonging.

Speaking on behalf of the 15 beneficiaries, Alhaja Mariam and Alhaja Rukayat who appreciated the kind gesture received from the foundation, offered many mind blowing prayers.

They acknowledged that the food gesture warmed their hearts and filled their bellies.

They expressed that people who show up with food when mostly needed must be appreciated.

“Your food gesture warmed our hearts and filled our bellies. Your kindness in providing food for us is a reminder that there’s still good in the world. Thank you for being a beacon of hope”
