Kwara Governor Congratulates New World Mathematics Marathon Record Breaker, Kazeem, Unilorin

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has rejoiced with the 400-level mathematics student of the University of Ilorin Kazeem Akanbi Sanusi who has just held a marathon 31-hour, 42-minute, and 54-second mathematics lesson.

Governor Abdulrazaq made the expression on Monday in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.

Governor Abdulrazaq commends Kazeem’s determination to register his name on the world map, describing the feat as one that stood him out for greatness.

“Kazeem has exhibited not just brilliance and capacity; his achievement is, in fact, a rare act of bravery, resilience, and can-do spirit

“His story again demonstrates to all, especially younger ones, that outliers are those who have been given opportunities — and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them.”

The Governor also congratulates the parents, guardians, tutors of Kazeem, as well as the University of Ilorin on the remarkable feat.

In the recent verification by the Guinness World Records, Kazeem is in the wings to become the new record holder for the longest mathematics instruction.

The current record is 26-hour.
