KWACOE Lafiagi Governing Council Begins Familiarization Visit, Pledges Fear Of God


Newly inaugurated Governing Council of the Kwara State College of Education, (Technical) in Lafiagi under its Chairman, Alhaji Hanafi Oladimeji, has paid familiarization visit to the College to commence its obligations.
This is contained in a statement made available to news men by the College Registrar, Mr Adewoye Adeshola Ayobami.
According to the statement, Alhaji Hanafi Oladimeji applauds the Governor for the appointment adding that the Governor had directed them to work for the growth and development of the College, Kwara North and State at large.
Alhaji Hanafi who promises to discharge his work with the fear of God charges all the staff members to put an end to ethnicity and religious differences but join hands to work for the development of the College.
In an address of welcome, the acting Provost of the College, Dr. Barakat Ibrahim expresses her appreciation to the governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq for the choice of a worthy candidate as Chairman of the Council.
While appreciating the governor for the several support given to the College which she said are numerous to mention, pledges good and harmonious working relationship with the constituted Council and Management of the College.
Also speaking, the Chairman College of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), Comrade Muritala Imam advises the Council to work in accordance to the College law.
Comrade Imam promises the staff members his unalloyed support to the Council and the State government at large.
The statement adds that during the visit, the Chairman and other council members paid homage to the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Mohammed Kudu Kawu in his palace.
The Emir who applauds the governor for fulfilling the promises made to Lafiagi community, however reminds the Governor not to forget the conversion of the College to Federal status, as well as the repairs of the township stadium.
On the familiarization visit are members of the council which include Chief Ibiloye Joseph Oladele, Mr Kolawole Azeez Olayinka, Hajia Mohammed Amudat Toyin, Mrs Awelewa Christianah Abisade and Hajia Abdullahi Memunat Bona.
