Leaders Of Thought In Kwara Applauds Tinubu’s Inclusive Appointments

President Bola Tinubu has been commended for his sense of equity, fairness and justice in making key appointments into public offices in the country.
A group under the aegis of Kwara South Traditional Rulers and Leaders of Thought gave the commendation in a press briefing on Thursday in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
The group under its chairman, Chief James Ayeni and the general secretary, Professor Abiodun Afolayan, while nothing that the appointments made so far took cognizance of the federal character principles, said President Tinubu has demonstrated that he belongs to all Nigerians, irrespective of region, religion or ethnicity.

“All well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians do appreciate the fact that since assuming Office in 2023, he has been working assiduously and steering the ship of the Nigerian state towards growth and development with the ultimate goal of taking Nigeria to where it ought to be rather than where we want to be. This may initially be painful but ultimately, with perseverance and understanding, we shall attain our manifest destiny”
Chief Ayeni maintained that President Tinubu’s political power and wisdom and rare qualities, always guide him in discovering and hunting for talents, able hands and putting round pegs in round holes.
The group also appreciated the fact that Kwara South are benefitting in an unprecedented way from the fair and equitable distribution of appointments across the country.
“The appointment of our children from Kwara South into various offices has rekindled our sense of belonging in the Nigerian Project”
According to Chief Ayeni, the President could therefore be rest assured of the group’s unwavering support and loyalty to his administration and to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We can say with humility, that Kwara South is a very fertile ground to hunt for and discover highly qualified Technocrats, Politicians of integrity, men and women of great skills who can stand tall and be counted among the best in the world. Therefore, like Oliver Twist, we humbly request Mr. President to graciously keep an eye on Kwara South with a view to obliging us with more appointments”

The Kwara South Traditional Rulers and Leaders of Thought however extended its profound gratitude to the Governor of Kwara State and chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahaman AbdulRasaq, (CON), for his immense contribution in facilitating these appointments and also for attracting some federal and state projects to the state.
Seven notable Kwara southerners who have been appointed by the President included Prince Abdul-Lateef Fagbemi as the Attorney-General/Minister of Justice, Engineer Bashir Bayo Ojulari; Group CEO, NNPCL, Prince Sunday Fagbemi; Chairman Governing Board, National Cereals Research Institute, Badeggi Niger State, Professor Wale Suleiman; Chairman Governing Council, Federal University of Health Sciences, lla-Orangun, Osun state.
Others are Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun; Member, Board of Directors of TETFUND, Mr. Segun Adebayo; Managing Director, National Agricultural Development Authority (NALDA) and Barrister Lanre Falola; Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission.
