Need For Nigeria To Focus On Strengthening Nigeria’s Mining Sector Emphasized
Minister of Solid Minerals in Nigeria, Dele Alake has advocated that the 2024 theme of the 9th edition of Nigeria Mining Week should be the cornerstone of Nigeria’s economy.
This year’s theme of the mining week focuses on “From the inside out: Building the Mining Sector.
The Minister during the press briefing for the event, said the theme should set the stage for discussions and it focused on strengthening Nigeria’s mining sector as a key driver of economic growth.
The Nigerian Ministry of Solid Minerals Development had earlier confirmed its commitment to the Nigeria Mining Week conference and expo with its official endorsement and pledge of support for the ninth edition which is scheduled to hold in Abuja from 18th to 20th November 2024.
According to the ministry, the 9th annual event is pivotal in shaping the future of Nigeria’s mining industry by fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development.
