Osi Campus Of KWASU Begins Academic Activities


Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr Mary Arinde has said full academic activities have begun at the Kwara State University, Osi campus, Monday while that of Ilesha Baruba campus will begin by January.
Dr Arinde who stated this during her inspection visit to the satellite campus said that construction works in Osi, Ekiti Local Government have reached 98 percent completion and is ready for use as students resume fully for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The Commissioner noted that students in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts under the new Faculty of Environmental sciences are ready to begin lectures, while their counterparts from the Faculty of Agriculture are due in Ilesha Baruba Campus in January.
She expressed satisfaction with the quality of the job by the contractor and the consultant and hailed the Governor’s commitment to the projects, despite the challenges involved at the beginning.
According to reports, other listed academic programmes that would begin sessions in January include Estate Management, Urban and Regional Development, Geography, Architecture, Quantity Survey and Building, among others.
